
Besançon counts approximately 120,000 inhabitants.
Situated in Eastern France, this beautiful town

focusing on three primary areas:
Scientific and industrial development
at the Bouloie Campus, with the School of Engineering
and the Science Department.
Literary activities assured
by the Arts Faculty and the Applied Linguistics
Centre (CLA), both situated in the downtown area.
Health sciences at the Jean-Minjoz University Hospital situated in Chateaufarine –a short distance out of town, where the new University Library was recently opened, as well as some of the first buildings of the new Faculty of Medicine; and finally, the Saint-Jacques University Hospital and Faculty of Medicine, located in the downtown area.
